Terms of Use

Last updated: April 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the VideoLibrary Android application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the App.

2. Licence

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any portion of it.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App (except as permitted by applicable law).
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose or for any public display.
  • Remove any proprietary notices or labels on the App.

3. User content and responsibility

VideoLibrary is a tool for managing and playing video files you already own or have the right to access. You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the legal right to store, access, and play any content you use with the App.
  • Complying with applicable copyright and intellectual property laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Any content accessed via WebDAV connections you configure.

We do not host, distribute, or have access to any content you play or manage through the App.

4. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Access, store, or distribute content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights.
  • Access, store, or distribute illegal content of any kind.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to computer systems or networks.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of any server or network connected via the App's features.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
  • That any defects will be corrected.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or corruption of your library — arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Data loss

We recommend that you maintain backups of your library data (including tags, ratings, and history). We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device failure, app updates, uninstallation, or other causes.

8. Updates and changes

We may update the App from time to time. Updates may change features, fix bugs, or modify these terms. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
